My name is Tilly Picton and I’m a recent graduate with a Bachelors degree in photography. I have a strong passion for visual storytelling, especially within food, hospitality, and digital media/marketing.

 Over the last few years, I’ve built up a mix of creative and professional experience that’s helped me understand not just how to take a great photo, but how to communicate a brand’s identity and message through content. 

Whether I’m behind the camera, managing a team in a restaurant, creating an email promotion, or planning out a social media strategy, I’m always thinking about how to connect with people in a meaningful, visual way.

I started Mushroom Media with my father to explore my interest in photography and content creation, specifically specialising with Spanish clients, due to our Spanish background. And it’s grown into a personal brand where I’ve worked on client projects, experimented with creative direction, and promoted my services online. 

Through this, I’ve learned how to manage my own workflow, deal with clients, and use platforms like Instagram and TikTok not just as social tools, but as creative and business spaces. 

At the same time as my degree, I’ve worked as a restaurant manager that has taught me leadership, communication, and the importance of understanding a business from the inside out.

What excites me most now is the chance to apply all of this into professional environments. I’m looking to grow as a creative, build strong collaborations, and take on roles that allow me to keep learning while making an impact. Whether it’s through freelance work or joining a creative team, I’m ready to bring my energy, ideas, and hands-on experience into the next stage of my career.
